Have you ever heard of Ashtanga Yoga, but unsure where to begin? Have you practiced Ashtanga for some time, but are hoping to gain a better understanding of the history, philosophy from which it was built, the breathwork, and hoping to take some time to break down the asanas (postures)? This workshop is for you! During this four hour workshop, the history and philosophy will be presented and discussed, along with a deeper breakdown and discussion of the asanas within the opening sequence, primary series, and closing sequence not typically experienced in a vinyasa style class (and safer/more accessible variations for these postures).
The workshop will also include the opportunity to practice the 90 minute Led Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga with a certified led primary series teacher in a safe, accepting, and welcoming environment. A Q&A session will be offered after the physical practice. Experience with flow and/or power classes (Soul Flow or Soul Fire) is recommended.
